For heat recovery in addition to the production of electric current by means of a storage water power station (1), at least one heat pump (3) is connected to the downstream water of a turbine (2), the electric energy necessary for the operation of the heat pumps (3) being made available by the water power station (1). The turbine downstream water originating from the water power station (1) is in one embodiment fed into a pipeline system (10), supplied to heat pumps (3) installed with consumers and there thermally utilised. The water accumulator (6) of the storage water power station (1) serves for the storage of both mechanical and thermal energy. An embodiment is also described, in which a single centrally arranged heat pump (21) is provided, which is included in a distant heating network (22, 23). <IMAGE> |
