PURPOSE:To obtain high print quality on a receipt and a journal by converting the density of image data according to the kind of a printing medium and desired density and eliminating the quality difference of a print result. CONSTITUTION:An adjustment value is set previously in a density adjustment setting part 10 according to the kind of the medium or as a device adjusting person likes. A card 2 is inserted and irradiated with infrared rays from a light source 3 and a CCD sensor 4 reads the card. The read data are stored as image data in a 1st image memory 8 and at the same time, a card feature detection part 9 detects the features of the card 2. The density of the image data of the card 2 which are stored in the memory 8 is converted according to the adjustment value set in the setting part 10 and the features detected by the detection part 9. The density-converted data of the card 2 are stored in a 2nd image memory 13 and transferred through an interface part 15 to a printing part 14, where the data are printed out. |
