PURPOSE:To make it easy to read characters at composition of images and characters by providing a print controller wherein a character contour area larger than a character pattern shape is obtained in a rectangular area to be decided by size of character, which is written in a full dot memory, further, a contour additive character pattern having a character pattern and a character contour area other than that as a reversal color of character color is written in the memory. CONSTITUTION:When a character is to be compounded in an image, a rectangular area to be decided by size of character is made to be maximum, for which a character contour area larger than a character pattern shape is obtained. Only a character contour area including a character pattern is written in a full dot memory 18 in which plotted image data is stored. Further, a contour additive character pattern consisting of a character contour having the character pattern and the character contour area other than the character pattern as a reversal color of character color is written in the full dot memory 18. Thus, a first contour additive character pattern in which the character pattern is black and the character contour area other than the character pattern is white is written in the full dot memory 18, so that a character is compounded so as to be read easily. |
