PURPOSE:To perform the next light emitting operation annularly even at the high speed repeated light emission more than several tens of Hz by using a booster condenser. CONSTITUTION:When a D.C. voltage power supply 1 is operated, the first control switch element 12 and an insulating gate type bi-polar transistor I.G.B.T are turned on, and a booster condenser 13 is instantaneously charged. When the second control switch element 17 is turned on, the charges of the booster condenser 13 are applied between main electrodes of a flash discharge tube Xe, and simultaneously a trigger circuit 22 is operated to cause the flash discharge tube to emit light. When I.G.B.T is turned off to stop light emission of the flash discharge tube, the light emission of the flash discharge tube Xe is stopped and the charging loop of the booster condenser 13 is intercepted to turn off the first control switch element 12, too. Thus, enough charged voltage of the booster condenser 13 can be always applied between main electrodes of the flash discharge tube so as to perform repeated light emission operation of high period without reduction of light emission. |
