PURPOSE:To improve the fracture toughness of the panel concerned by a method wherein a layer mainly consisting of reinforcing fiber and thermosetting resin, a layer mainly consisting of lightweight aggregate and thermosetting resin, and a layer mainly consisting of reinforcing fiber and thermosetting resin are laminated onto a metal sheet having a large number of projections in the order named and, after that, pressed together. CONSTITUTION:A layer 2 mainly consisting of reinforcing fiber and thermosetting resin or filler in addition to them, a layer 3 mainly consisting of lightweight aggregate and thermosetting resin or filler in addition to them and a layer 4 mainly consisting of reinforcing fiber and thermosetting resin or filler in addition to them are laminated onto a metal sheet 1 in the order named. And, the metal sheet has a large number of projections 5 thereon. Forming is performed by pressing under heat so as to integrate the respective layers and the metal sheet through the hardening of the thermosetting resins. Thus lightweight and high strength composite panel excellent in heat insulating properties and sound insulating properties can be manufactured efficiently. In addition, the projections 5 realize mechanically strong link and, even when deflection or the like develops, separation is hard to develop. |
