Compounds of the formula <CHEM> wherein R is (C1-C20)alkyl, (C1-C20)!cycloalkyl, or (C6-C20)aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl each optionally substituted on the aryl portion with one or more of halo, nitro, (C1-C4)alkyl, or cyano; A is (CH2)p, (CH2)q-O-(CH2)r, or (CH2)q-S-(CH2)r, wherein p=2 to 8, q=1 to 8, and r=1 to 8; R1 = -(CH2)m-, -(CH2CH2-O)n-CH2CH2-, or -(CH2CH2CH2-O)n-CH2CH2CH2- where m is from 7 to 24 and n is from 1 to 10; and t is from 1 to 100 are disclosed, as are monomers of the formula <CHEM> The polymers have microbicidal activity.
