PURPOSE:To eliminate feed troubles so as to enhance a component feeding device in operating efficiency by a method wherein the component feeding device is compoped of a part cassette and a drive means which drives a part cassette, and the drive means is able to make the part cassette change in feed. CONSTITUTION:When 5mm pitch taped components are fed, a lever 23 is controlled as it is kept bearing against a stopper 35 provided to a cylinder 34. When 2.5mm pitch taped components are fed, the stopper 35 is made to move in the direction of an arrow (a) by a distance of 1.25mm by the cylinder 34 and then bears against the lever 23. Switching from a 5mm P to a 2.5mm P or vice versa is carried out through NC data. On the other hand, in a part cassette 22, when 2.5mm taped components are fed, feed pawls 36 and 37 are made to move in the direction of (b) with the movement of the lever 23 in the direction of (b). When 12.7mm pitch taped components are transferred, the pawl 37 bears against a control pawl 39, concurrently the (b) part of the lever 23 is made to bear against a control pawl 38, and when 13.95mm pitch taped components are transferred, the pawls 38 and 39 move additionally by a distance of 1.25mm. By this setup, feed troubles caused by setting errors can be eliminated from a component feed device of this design. |
