PURPOSE:To make it possible to fully magnetize without having deterioration in magnetic characteristics by the oxidization of the alloy powder for magnet when a magnetizing operation is conducted by a method wherein the rare-earth bonded magnet material, consisting of alloy powder for magnet and resin binder, is magnetized by cooling it to -60 deg.C or lower. CONSTITUTION:Alloy powder for magnet, which is mainly composed of Nd, B and Fe and having an inter-tetragonal metal compound as the main phase, and rare-earth bonded magnet material are magnetized by cooling down to -60 deg.C or lower. Also, a part of Fe in the alloy powder for magnet is replaced with at least a kind of transition metal rare-earth bonded magnet material by cooling it down to -60 deg.C or lower, the above-mentioned magnet material can be magnetized completely without deterioration of magnetic characteristics by the oxidization of the alloy powder for magnet. To be more precise, the magnetization of the magnet material can be improved by 66 to 68% from the case where the material is magnetized at normal temperatures, and the generating of the irreversible demagnetization which occurs when the heating temperature is higher than the working temperature can be prevented. |
