PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosensitive recording material where a sharp image is obtained with a white background and a black developed color tone by laminating a thermosensitive color developing layer containing specific leuco dye over a thermosensitive color developing layer containing a different type of leuco dye, on a support. CONSTITUTION:At least, two thermosensitive color developing layers are provided on a support. Then a thermosensitive color developing layer containing at least, one type of leuco dye elected from among those shown by formula I (R1, R2 are a substituted alkyl group; R3 is aralkyloxy; R4 is dialkylamino group; R5 is a hydrogen atom; R6, R7 are a lower alkyl group) and formula II in which a benzene ring is present and n is an integer of 1 to 4, is laminated over a thermosensitive color developing layer containing at least, one type of leuco dye selected from among those expressed by formula III (R17, R18 are independently a 1 to 10C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group; R19 is a 1 to 20C hydrocarbon group or a halogen atom; and R20 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a 1 to 6C hydrocarbon). Thus a thermosensitive recording material is obtained. |
