For the adjustment of a continuous casting mould with a substantially rectangular mould cavity cross section (13), a method and device are proposed which allow adjustment in two dimensions simultaneously. The mould structure for this method comprises a frame (2) and four mould walls (3 - 6) attached thereto, the four corners of the mould cavity (13) being formed by the abutment of a cooled mould wall face (e.g. 8) against the end (16) of an adjacent mould wall (4). For adjustment of the mould cavity (13), mould walls (4, 5, 6) are moved at fight angles to the direction of movement of the casting. The mould wall (5) is thus displaced along a component of motion (18) which forms an acute angle (20) with its cooled mould wall face (10). |
