PURPOSE:To enable an electronic component inserter to be enhanced in insertion efficiency by a method wherein the inserter is composed of a head which inserts an electronic component in a board at a prescribed position, an X-Y table which executes the positioning of the board conforming to programs, and a recognition device, where the head and the recognition device are made to operate in concert with each other. CONSTITUTION:An X-Y table 12 enables a printed board 9 to move under a recognition device 13. The recognition device 13 selects two out of insertion holes provided to the board 9 basing on the previously given data, and the coordinates of the centers of the selected two insertion holes are obtained as deviations. Thereafter, the table 12, a rotary shaft 10, and a pitch shaft 11 are finely adjusted corresponding to the pattern of the deviations of the two holes. The table 2 moves the board 9 under the head 8 including the finely adjusted value. After the shafts are finely adjusted, a component is inserted by the head 8. By this setup, both the leads of an electronic component can be surely inserted into the two insertion holes, so that an insertion rate of 100% can be realized and leads and the board 9 can be lessened in stress caused by insertion. |
