摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the density of a pixel by allowing the ink guided to an end edge to fly to a recording medium as mist by the energy of the surface elastic wave generated on a propagating surface. CONSTITUTION:A part of the surface elastic wave (SAW) propagated along a propagating surface 1a to reach an end surface 1b is upwardly propagated toward an edge 1c and sucks up the ink held to the end surface 1b to the propagating surface 1a in the vicinity of the edge 1c in a film state. The main part of the SAW reflected from the end surface 1b is set off with the lateral component in the SAW propagated to said end surface 1b and only the vertical component of the propagated SAW is used to thrust up the film-like ink guided to the propagating surface 1a to form the same into mist and this mist is allowed to fly to an upper recording medium in an almost right-angled direction from the propagating surface 1a. By this method, an image of high gradation can be formed.
