PURPOSE:To enhance a recording/regeneration characteristic sensitivity and improve stability by a method wherein in an information recording medium formed by holding a thin film containing at least a recording layer on a signal surface of a substrate, a recording material mainly composed of Sb, Te, and at least either Si or Al is used for the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:This optical information recording medium is produced by laminating a recording layer 3 and a protective layer 4 on a signal surface 2 of a substrate 1 in the order from the substrate 1. At this time, the recording layer 3 is made of a recording material mainly composed of Sb, Te, and at least either Si or Al. In this manner, the information recording medium can have good recording/regeneration characteristics and superior stability in information storage. |
