PURPOSE:To improve the conversion efficiency of a synonym by displaying the reading of a synonym candidate and selecting the reading as the synonym candidate of a KANA(Japanese syllabary) inscription. CONSTITUTION:A character or a character string being the object of synonym conversion is designated, a synonym conversion key 18 is depressed and synonym conversion is instructed. Then, CPU 11 extracts the synonym and the reading of the character or the character string, which is designated from a synonym dictionary 21, once stores them in RAM 16 and displays them as the synonym in a display device 20. When the synonym is selected among the synonym and the reading displayed as the synonym candidate by the operation of a selection key 19, CPU 11 outputs the selected synonym as a synonym converted result to a document. Thus, the conversion efficiency of the synonym can be improved. |
