<p>PURPOSE:To effectively hot roll by setting the heat-insulating furnace between the hot rolling mill and the coil box, detecting the meander of steel strip at the inlet side of coil box, and controlling the movement in the lateral direction of the coil box based on the above. CONSTITUTION:The coil boxes 4, 4 are set at both ends of the hot rolling line 3, and the steel strip 2 is wound and rewound with the coilers 5, 5 in them. The heat insulating furnace 6 is set between the hot rolling mill 1 and, at least, one hand of the coil boxes 4. The coil box 4 is moved with the driving machinary 7 in the lateral direction of the steel strip 2. The meandering of the steel strip 2 is detected with the meander detector 8 at the inlet side of the coil box 4. The operation of the driving machinary 7 is controlled with the controller 9 based on the output of the meander detector 8. Therefore, the hot steel strip can be surely rolled with the space and device of a small size.</p> |
