PURPOSE:To speed up a document processing by eliminating a page cache whose use frequency is the least for every page which is additionally prepared so as to generate the page cache for a new page at the time of preparing a document of more than the prescribed pages. CONSTITUTION:When picture information from the page cache is read, it is checked whether or not the number of the page caches, which is prepared at present, is less than N which is prepared by a processor. When the number of the page caches previously reaches a restricted number, the page cache whose use frequency is the least among the page caches which are used at present is selected. Then, the content of the page cache is eliminated and the area of the page cache is allocated to the page which is required at present. Thus, the processing for display can be speeded up. |
