摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate flooding in the fractionating tower, crude argon tower, etc., at their start-up by opening a supply automatic valve so that the pressure difference increasing rate of the device is controlled below a fixed value until the pressure difference of the device reaches the set pressure difference of a pressure difference controller. CONSTITUTION:When an opening operation start command of an air inlet valve 2 is inputted, the valve 2 is gradually opened, since each part is not pressurized at the beginning, there is no pressure difference, and the pressure difference is zero. AS the valve 2 is gradually opened, air is sucked into the lower tower 4 of a fractionating tower, a liq. is accumulated in the bowl of the tower 4 by the refrigeration of an expansion turbine 11, and the pressure difference is gradually increased. As the inlet valve 2 is further opened, the pressure difference increasing rate is also augmented, and the opening of the inlet valve 2 is suspended by the opening operation controller 26 when the increasing rate reaches a specified value. This state is continued for some time, hence the inside of the fractionating tower is stabilized, normal gas-liq. contact is performed, flooding is not caused, and the pressure difference increasing rate is gradually diminished.
