The present invention relates to a device allowing fitting and removal of a cowl top for a mass-manufactured (industrialised) chimney stack made of sheet metal. The traditional chimney-stack cowl consists of parts welded to each other and not allowing removal of the parts in the event of a defect or a need to have access to the flue. The device according to the invention enables this drawback to be overcome. In fact, this cowl is produced with the aid of pieces which fit together and are screwed to each other; this makes it easier to put into place and also allows interchangeability as well as sweeping. The cowl consists of 3 parts: - a top, - feet, - a plate. <IMAGE>
