[Also in Divisions B4 and B6] A wrapping-machine includes roller feed and a cutter to partially sever wrapper sheets 39 of polythene &c. from a web 23, the sheet being finally torn free by being carried along with the article 40 to be wrapped, and the web being contacted by guides continuously along its path through the feed rollers and cutting means. The web is fed by rollers 21, 22 having circumferential slots 29 through which pass guide rods 36, 37 forming a passage for the web. A cutter 35 has notches to accommodate the rods and provide the uncut areas joining the sheet to the web. |
