PURPOSE:To obtain a good recording and replay characteristic even when a rewrite operation is performed many times by a method wherein an Al alloy film layer which is composed of a specific element such as Ag, Cu or the like and of Al is formed so as to come into contact with a protective layer formed so as to be adjacent to a thin film for recording. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy film layer 6 is formed so as to come into contact with a protective layer 5 which is formed so as to be adjacent to a thin film 4 for information recording use and which is composed of at least one out of an inorganic substance and an organic substance. For the Al alloy film, it is preferable that at least one or more elements selected from Ag, Cu, Ni, Fe, Co, Zn, Ta, Cr, Mn, Mg, Sn and Ti are contained. For the Al alloy film 6, it is preferable that its Al atomic concentration is at 75 to 98% and that its film thickness is at 30 to 300nm. The Al alloy film 6 can be formed easily by a sputtering operation or a vapor deposition operation. Since the flatness of the Al alloy film 6 is good and, at the same time, its close contact property is strong, the metal film is not deformed or stripped. |
