A rock wool plate is produced by (A) making paste state by mixing 60-80 wt.% particle-shaped rock wool (particle size 1-3 mm), 20- 35 wt.% inorganic filler with 2:1-1:2 ratio of clay and gypsum, 4- 6 wt.% starch, 0.5-2 wt.% guar gum, with some amount of water, (B) pouring it to mold (M) and forming fissure by a screed bar (5), (6), which is placed at 300-600 of gradient, having the width of its lower part contacted with paste surface 2-4 mm, (C) linearly reciprocating with a width of motion 3-20 cm by the motion frequency 50-300 times, (D) firstly drying its surface, and (E) smoothing the surface by a surface smoothing rool (8) and drying again.
