Protection device for a circular saw, characterised in that it includes, on the one hand, a pivoting cap (5) covering over the circular saw blade (3), essentially in its front part, and connected to a rear support (1) by a fixed pivot (6) and, on the other hand, a pair of pivoting cheeks (9) framing the blade, essentially in its rear part, these cheeks (9) each being connected to the said cap (5) by another pivot (10), cap and cheeks normally resting on the work bench (2) before and after the sawing operations. <IMAGE>
