<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic precipitator which is safe and high in dust collection efficiency by providing both a means for supplying charge having high electric potential for earth electric potential to a charging carrier and a means for transferring this charging carrier. CONSTITUTION:A belt 2 is polarized by voltage given from a high-voltage power source 8 between a charged roller 1 and a pulley 4. Negative charge is dissipated through the pulley 4 and only positive charge remains on the surface of the belt 2. When the belt 2 is moved in the direction shown in an arrow, the distance of both the surface of the pulley 4 hold to earth electric potential and the surface of this positive charge is made gradually large and the surface electric potential is made high. When the belt 2 is furthermore moved and opposed to an earth electric potential plate 6, electric potential is specified by the distance of the belt 2 and the earth electric potential plate 6. By such action, the electric potential acquired by the surface of the belt 2 is obtained by calculation. Firstly, dust neat to the belt 2 is attracted together with movement of the belt 2 and dust therefrom is gradually attracted in accordance with rise of the surface electric potential of the belt 2.</p> |
