PURPOSE:To eliminate selection of a charged member even if a resistance value or an electrostatic capacity value of the charged member is dispersed through manufacture by providing a means for indicating information of both the resistance value and the electrostatic capacity value or at least one of them. CONSTITUTION:A charged roller 2 is measured on both a resistance value and an electrostatic capacity value or at least one of them under a constant condition after its manufacture, these values are written in a label 20, and the label 20 is stuck on a shaft end part of a metal core 4 of the roller 2 to indicate information about the resistance value and/or the electrostatic capacity value of the roller 2. When the roller 2 is installed or exchanged, an current value to impedance of the roller 2 based on the information entered in the label 20 is properly fixed. A constant-current value is then set for a proper current value by means of adjustment of a bias power source 6 with a knob 6A. An inadequate charge due to excessive or insufficient bias voltage thereby can be prevented. |
