<p>An asbestos-free thermal insulating material comprises slag wool, ceramic wool as a filler in smelting, and wollastonite as a binder. The weight % of slag wool, ceramic wool and wollastonite in all composition is 60-90, 8-30, 2-10, respectively. Another asbestos- free thermal insulating material comprises 70-90 wt.% slag wool, 2-20 wt.% polyolefin based synthetic pulp, and 2-10 wt.% woolastonite. Synthetic resin pulp is pref. polypropylene based resin pulp or polyethylene based resin pulp, or its mixt. The material is used for an automobile.</p> |
