Load-distributing plate for the fastening of an insulating layer (10) to the roofs of buildings, characterised in that each plate is constituted by a surface of substantially square, round or oval shape having, at its centre, a cup (18) which includes an internal thread (19) or another similar system allowing complete recessing (penetration) of the screw head (7) of a screw (5), thereby ensuring, on the one hand, distribution of the loads on the upper skin (12) of the insulating element (10) and, on the other hand, sealing (weatherproofing) between the plate (15) of the upper skin (12) of the insulating element (10) and, finally, sealing between the bottom of the cup (18) of the plate (15) and the head (7) of the screw (5). <IMAGE>
