<p>PURPOSE:To ensure compactness and increased productivity by connecting a low voltge power supply to a common driver linked to an edge emitting EL element through a coil and forming a resonance circuit with the coil and the edge emitting EL element. CONSTITUTION:A common driver 44 consists of pulse generation circuits 49,50 which are made up of transistors 45 to 48 and FETs 33,34 connected between positive/negative high potential electrodes 29,30 and a center potential electrode 31. Distribusion cirucits 381 to 38m,391 to 39m to which said pulse generation circuits 49,50 are connected, are connected to an edge emitting EL element 19 of a line head 20 through common electrodes 231 to 23m. In addition, a common driver 44 functions in the same manner as common drivers 22,28 due to a high voltage pulse of about + or -250V generated based on a low voltage current of about + or -50V by a resonance circuit consisting of coils 53,54 and the edge emitting EL element 19.</p> |
