PURPOSE:To improve waterproofness and dust resistance of a wheel motor by providing an electric automobile with a pressure storage means, pressure control means and pressure transmitting means, and providing a wheel motor with a hermetically sealing means, thereby raising the internal pressure of the wheel motor more than the outside pressure. CONSTITUTION:An electric automobile is provided with an air tank 1 serving as a pressure storing means, regulator 2 serving as pressure control means, and piping 3 and hose 4 serving as pressure transmitting means. The compression air of the air tank 1 is added to the inside of a wheel motor 5 via the piping 3, regurator 2 and hose 4. In this case, the regulator 2 is set higher in its pressure than the atomospheric pressure, and the inside of the wheel motor 5 is pressurized high. With this arrangement, if the internal pressure of the motor 5 is lowered, compression air is fed from the air tank 1 by the regulator 2, so that the inside of the motor 5 becomes higher than the outside pressure normally. It is thus possible to prevent water dust from entering from the outside of the wheel motor 5. |
