The gas transport laser has at least one laser envelope (4) with a mirror (6,7) at either end and a radial fan (3) coupled to it at the centre, for extracting the laser gas which is fed through a cooling system (2) with a return gas flow at either end of the laser envelope (4). The laser envelope (4) lies perpendicular to the axis of the radial fan (3) and to the gas flow in the cooling system (2). The laser gas is stimulated to obtain a HF and high voltage discharge. Pref. the laser has two parallel laser envelopes positioned symmetrically relative to the fan (3) and the cooling system (2).
