PURPOSE:To prevent the repeating of great deformation of outer wall by raising the deforming resistance of the wall to external pressures by a method in which the constituent walls of the outer wall formed by packing expanded material blocks are connected by reinforcing parts. CONSTITUTION:A float A for floating pier consists of a block made of expanded material, an outer wall 2 covering the block 1, and reinforcing parts 3 to connect the constituent walls 2a of the wall 2 through the block 1. For protecting the block 1 from external pressure, the wall 2 is made of cement concrete or mortar, and the reinforcing part 3 is made of a different material such as metal or synthetic resin as the same material as the wall 2 to provide it with a rigidity to external pressures. Deformation of the wall 2 and corners by external pressure can thus be prevented, and the fatigue breakage of the wall by cracking can also be prevented. |
