[Also in Division C3] Triglycidyl isocyanurate is prepared by reacting cyanuric acid with epichlorohydrin in the presence of benzyltriethylammonium chloride. followed by dehydrohalogenation with NaOH. The product is isolated by azeotropic removal of water, filtration, concentration and crystallization from isopropanol. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 996,723. |
