<p>PURPOSE:To increase an operating speed by selecting other predicted value via a selecting means by a predicting circuit at the processing timing of the picture element data nearest the boundary between divided regions. CONSTITUTION:The other predicting circuit 6b exclusive of the 1st predicting circuit 6a has a means S1b for selecting the predicted value generated by itself and the other predicted value generated by the predicting circuit for processing the previous divided region in time in specially adjoining. The other predicting circuit 6b selects the other predicted value via the selecting means S1b at the timing of the picture element data nearest the boundary between the divided regions. This screen is, therefore, divided to M pieces of the regions and the data of 1/M rate of the original data is merely necessitated to be coded by previously coding the data for each of the respective regions. The image signals at a high rate like the high-vision signals are preceded in this way.</p> |
