PURPOSE:To obtain a reception contact function by providing a function making a contact of reception of an electronic mail to a recipient at the reception of an electronic mail. CONSTITUTION:When a terminal equipment 2a receives an electronic mail from a terminal equipment 1a, a host computer 4 receives the electronic mail via an electronic exchanges 3 and stores it therein. When the host computer 4 discriminates it that a recipient of the electronic mail is the user of the terminal equipment 2a, the host computer 4 makes a phone call to the telephone set 2b of the user of the terminal equipment 2a via the electronic exchange 3 to make a contact it that the electronic mail is reached. Thus, upon the receipt of the electronic mail, the host computer 4 makes a phone call to a recipient of the electronic mail to make the contact of the reception of the mail. Thus, the recipient can quickly receive the electronic mail.
