Clutch control for servo drive - uses control current in servo solenoid to monitor differential speed inside clutch
摘要
The servo motor provides additional torque to a drive, e.g. servo assisted steering. To measure the amount of clutch slip, i.e. the difference in speed between the clutch sections, the servo solenoid is provided with a programmed current. This provides a magnetic current across the clutch and this current is monitored to determine the amt. of clutch slip. One part of the clutch has a segmented structure to enable a simple digital measurement to be obtd. for the clutch slip. A simple processor control regulates the application of the solenoid to minimise torque shocks. ADVANTAGE - Simple servo clutch control; no separate sensors required.
