In the accelerator with a vacuum chamber (1), or tube, a conductor line (2) is provided centrally in the aceceleration chamber, concentrically to which a second conductor line (3) is arranged, to form an annular gap (4). The outer circumference of the second conductor line, by the interpositioning of a second annular gap (6), stands opposite to the inner circumference of a steel sleeve (5) bordering the acceleration chamber, or tube. Extreme opposed flows of secondary radiations (7, 8) from the two conductor lines, separated from each other, pass through the first annular gap. USE/ADVANTAGE - For generating electrons, protons etc. with high vacuum generation despite the use of a steel sleeve.
