摘要 The method of measuring the power of an optical beam involves feeding the beam to a temp. measurement quartz (1) and determining the reactance properties of the quartz when exposed and not exposed to the beam. The light power is determined from the difference in reactance properties for exposed and not exposed cases. The reactance properties can be determined by measuring the frequency or period of an oscillator contg. the temp. measurement quartz as the frequency defining element. ADVANTAGE - High stability, high resolution not affected by changes in ambient temp., air pressure, humidity etc.
