The invention relates to a removable insert for casting moulds with a securing screw to secure the insert in the mould hollow which can be taken into the securing position by means of a screwdriver fitted in an engagement region. Here the engagement region of the securing screw faces the mould hollow and the securing screw can be secured in the internal wall of said hollow. The insert has a recess for the securing screw in which the securing screw is supported and which is accessible to the screwdriver from the mould hollow, and the recess taking the securing screw can be closed without undercutting with respect to the mould hollow. The invention concerns moulds with such inserts for the production of workpieces.
