The appts. to produce and deliver quick setting foam mortar, esp. to fill hollows in underground mining and the like, has a mixing chamber to mix the dry material with water and air. The mixture is passed to a pump (1) which has at least one pressure monitor (18) at the connections (12) to the feed lines and/or at the feed lines (13). The feed of dry material and/or the water is controlled according to the monitored pressure. The pressure connections (12) at the pump (1) or the feed lines (13) are connected to a specially switched high pressure water supply (15, 16, 17), with the switch also controlled by the pressure monitor (18), which acts on the high pressure water pump (15) which is connected to the pressure connections (12) of the pump (1) or the feed lines (13) through a 3/2 way valve (14) under pressure monitor (18) control. ADVANTAGE - The system automatically maintains the optimum mortar consistency, and also reduces the risk of blockages in the feed lines.
