Part of an electrical connecting plug is fitted to the end of a cable with one or more cores, the cable being indexed through machining stations. In these the core is bared and a contact component is mounted on it, while the final station is an injection-moulding unit, forming an insulating and protective body round the component and core end. This unit comprises a support rotating on an axis and containing two or more moulds, together with one or more injection-moulding mechanisms. The moulds, which have inlet ports, are spaced apart in the peripheral direction, and equidistant from the axis of rotation. The moulding mechanism, adjustable in the direction of the support, has an outlet level with the mould inlets.
