摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the subject molecularly oriented molded body, composed of high-molecular weight polyethylene, having a prescribed relation among tensile strength, weight-average molecular weight and size and excellent in strength with hardly any deterioration in tensile strength even when subjected to corona discharge treatment. CONSTITUTION:A molecularly oriented molded body is composed of a molecularly oriented molded body of high-molecular weight polyethylene having 300000-600000 weight-average molecular weight. The aforementioned molded body has <=15 denier size and >=1.7 GPa tensile strength. The tensile strength [S (GPa)], the weight-average molecular weight [M (g/mol)] and the size [D (denier)] thereof satisfy the relation expressed by the formula.
