Waffle dough mixt. contains flour, sugar, fat, water and a seasoning mixt. resembling curry. Pref., the dough contains 0.1-2 (0.05-1) wt.% of the curry seasoning. Esp., the mixt. contains 20-50wt.% of flour, 5-15% of sugar, 3-10% of fat, 1-5% of wheat starch, 0.1-1% of lecithin, 0.1-1% of salt, 0.1-2% of curry seasoning, and water to 100%. USE/ADVANTAGE - An edible container for foods is prepd. by baking the dough, and has the form of a plate, a dish, a cone or a box (claimed). The container confers a pleasant taste to the food and is itself edible. In an example, a dough mixt. contg. 40wt.% of flour, 11% of sugar, 6% of fat, 2% of wheat starch, 0.5% of lecithin, 0.5% of salt, 1% of curry seasoning and 39% of water was fed into a series of waffle moulds, baked, and pressed to shape. |
