It has a casing provided with a housing in which may be inserted and held, with the aid of a locking element, a cylindrical head fixed to one of the elements forming the closure or to the end of a chain or the like. The locking element or bolt is embodied as an axially displaceable cylindrical rod 1. This axial displacement is impeded by a ring 2 integral with the rod 1 with respect to the periphery of gearings 3 wedged on respective parallel shafts, having individual arcuate notches capable of being positioned suitably so as not to interfere with the axial displacement of the rod 1 upon rotation of the same number of toothed wheels 7 arranged on the same shafts 4 and which mesh with a pinion 8 wedged on the rod 1. The rod 1 has, integral at its end, a discoidal knob 9 or control for the lock. The gearings 3 and toothed wheels 7 of each pair mesh axially by means of an oblique annular toothing which defines a one-way direction of rotation which is opposite in each pair. <IMAGE>
