The object of the invention is to be able to construct, from a few basic components, a durable and safe window structure which is supplied to the consumer in loose parts so that the consumer can himself assemble all the components. The component system consists of at lest two different basic components which are extruded profiled elements and a plurality of auxiliary components which are used to connect said profiled elements together and to make the whole assembly leaktight against water and permeable to air required through the window. <IMAGE>
