<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a feeding load, to improve feeding stability, and to reduce the damage of a magnetic tape if the tape is loaded or unloaded from a tape cassette by winding the tape on a stationary head in response to the feeding mode of the tape, and controlling tension in respective modes. CONSTITUTION:A tension post 31 moves between a first position B in which a magnetic tape 20 is wound on an entire width erasure head 35 and a separate second position C, and tension is controlled by an actuator 47 at the moved position as a control center. If it is contained in a tape cassette 21, the post 31 of a third position D is rotated to contain the tape 20 in the mouth 21a of the cassette 21. The position of the post 31 is detected by a magnet 48 provided at a tension arm 39 and Hall elements 49b, 49c, 49d provided thereat. Thus, the feeding load of the tape, the damage of the tape are reduced, and feeding stability can be improved.</p> |
