Process in which the starting point is a base plate which can be deformed by shaping, which, on one of its faces, has the colour of the characters to be highlighted by shaping, this being the face via which it receives a second sheet or plate which has its coupling face covered by permanent adhesive which incorporates a card of an anti-adherent, selective pressing taking place between rollers and final thermal stabilisation in order to obtain a compound plate capable of being shaped by punches in the form of signs, numbers or letters which cut into the second sheet and, after removal of the latter, reveal the colour of the base plate.
