Improved nut and bolt assembly, consisting of two elements that can be coupled together, the screw having a screw thread with the threads oriented towards the head, and, optionally, a cut on the edge of the thread, and the nut having the screw thread in the opposite direction and having a transverse aperture which wedges from an outer edge towards the hollow and, optionally, mitre-type or semicircular slots. Greater tightening is achieved than with normal nuts, with less possibility of loosening, loosening being very easy with less than a quarter of a turn. <IMAGE>
