Selecting and counting machine for coins and coin-shaped objects. It comprises a centrifugal plate, a thickness- selecting device, a diameter-selecting device of the coins accepted by the first selecting device and a controller- counter. The selecting device which acts in relation to diameter includes an endless belt carrying the coins, located on a guide and running between two pulleys which rotate on a support capable of tilting with respect to the body of the machine. The machine includes means to rapidly and precisely predetermine the thickness and diameter of the coins which it is desired to select. <IMAGE>
