PURPOSE:To print the outline of layout a business form definiens by designating a specific printing type to the business form definiens item if it is decided that a subject printer has no printing function for the specifications set to the definiens item. CONSTITUTION:A business form definiens is produced at a business form definiens production part 11 of a data processor 1 with operation of a man- machine interface 2. The produced definiens is controlled at a business form definiens control part 12. When a deciding part 14 of a layout output part 13 decides that a printer 3 has no printing function set to a business form defining item, the printing of a specific symbol is designated to the area of the defining item through a designating part 15. In such a system, the layout outline of the designated business form definiens can be printed even with use of the printers different in specification.
