<p>An offset correcting method corrects an offset of a position signal generating circuit (19) which generates a position signal indicative of a position of a magnetic head (11) on a magnetic disk (10) based on a servo signal read from the magnetic disk in a magnetic disk unit. The offset correcting method includes the steps of measuring an offset value of the position signal generating circuit, storing the measured offset value in a storing part (2), and correcting an output value of the position signal generating circuit based on the offset value which is read from the storing part. <IMAGE></p> |
