The invention relates to a process for dislodging aggregates in high-capacity receptacles and to the dislodging device used for this purpose. The aggregate held over the rectangular exit opening of the receptacle, in the form of a frustopyramidal hopper, is separated into two different zones: one "without support", formed by the column of aggregate held, which is over the exit opening; and the other "with support", on the inclined walls of the hopper. The separation of this aggregate takes place from the bottom upwards, successively, and over the entire section of the discharge opening, by means of an automatic displaceable device. The device is composed of two parallel horizontal blades, located on each one of the larger sides of the section of the exit opening, mutually braced and suspended from tie rods tightened by a drive means, thereby removing the layers of aggregate collateral to them.
